Feeling the wedding planning burnout? Here is our checklist to put your mind at rest
Whilst planning your perfect Irish wedding can be a hugely exciting time; the truth is, it can also be completely exhausting and overwhelming too. Many couples say that they enjoy planning their wedding, but that they are relieved when it is all done and dusted.
There are also some couples who may find that wedding prep can take its toll over time. If you are one of those couples and you are worried about wedding planning burnout, then take a look at our early days checklist to see if we can help to put your mind at rest.
Have you got a budget?
It isn’t always nice to think about money, but when it comes to your big day, money is one of the first things that you need to consider. Sit down together and think about your budget. This will help you to think about all of the other aspects of wedding planning and make it that little bit easier. You can read this guide and work out your wedding budget with our help!
Appoint your wedding party
Your big day is all about you of course, but there are certain people who you are going to want (and maybe even need) to be around. Your bridesmaids, ushers and your best man too. This means that one thing that you should make sure that you do is appoint your wedding party. Not only because it makes sure that they know how important they are to you, but also because they might be able to help you with anything that you need.
Make your guest list
If you ask couples what is one of the most stressful parts of planning their wedding; then chances are that they will say that making a guest list is up there. Guest lists are hard work to put together, but they can hugely helpful. They give you an idea of how many people you are likely to invite and then, in turn how big a venue you are going to need to book. Be aware that whilst the numbers may not change, you can always mix up who gets an invite.
Speak to suppliers
Another thing to keep in mind is that suppliers (especially those who offer great value) are likely to get booked up quickly. So, it is a good idea to make sure that you speak to your perfect suppliers as early as you can. This means that you can get your dates in the diary and that you are going to be able to make sure that whoever it is that you want to book, is not going to be booked by someone else.
Having a checklist for your wedding day is a great idea, not only does it help you to stay as calm as possible, but it gives you something to focus on. It can be stressful and overwhelming at times, but we can promise you that in the long run, when you have the perfect day, it will all be worth it.
